Tragic Incident: 24-Year-Old Rohit Magare Dies After Falling from Local Train Between Ambernath and Ulhasnagar | Image for representation
Thane: A 24-year-old man died after falling from a local train between Ambernath and Ulhasnagar railway stations on Tuesday, GRP Kalyan officials said on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Rohit Magare, 25, a resident of Samrat Ashok Nagar in Ulhasnagar. The GRP police said that Magare, a labourer, boarded a local train at Ambernath railway station and was traveling to Ulhasnagar station.
The incident took place between Ambernath and Ulhasnagar railway stations on Tuesday afternoon. According to the Government Railway Police from Kalyan, they received information about the accident at 1:30 PM after the motorman spotted him lying near the track.
Following this, they rushed to the spot and immediately took him to Central Hospital in Ulhasnagar, where he was declared dead on arrival. The dead body was handed over to his family members for final rites.
Santosh Jadhav, a GRP official, said that the statement of the Motorman is yet to be pending. Once the statement is recorded, then the exact cause of the accident will be known. Prima facie, it is suspected that he allegedly fell from the train and met with tragedy.
