Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 230 km long fourth railway line will be built between Bina Junction and Itarsi Junction in Madhya Pradesh.

The survey for the project has been completed, and the Railway Board has already approved it. Now, the construction work will begin soon.

Currently, trains take around 4 hours to travel between Bina and Itarsi, but with the new railway line, this time will be reduced. The new track will also increase train speed from 160 km/h to 220 km/h, making travel faster and smoother for passengers.

Once the fourth rail line is completed, train congestion between Bina and Itarsi will reduce. Trains will spend less time waiting on outer signals, leading to quicker movement and better efficiency.

Bina and Itarsi are major railway junctions under the Bhopal Rail Division, located on the Delhi-Mumbai route. Due to heavy train traffic, this fourth railway line was much needed.

The Bina-Bhopal-Itarsi route is one of the busiest railway routes in Madhya Pradesh, with hundreds of trains passing daily. Railway officials have confirmed that construction will begin in 2025, and the project is expected to be completed within three years.
