Mumbai Accident: 22-Year-Old Delivery Boy Dies After Being Struck By Speeding Tanker In Kanjurmarg | Representational Image

Mumbai: A tragic hit-and-run incident in Mumbai claimed the life of a 22-year-old delivery boy, Salman Janmohammed Khan, after a speeding tanker collided with his motorcycle near Gandhi Nagar Junction in Kanjurmarg West. The accident occurred on Wednesday when Salman and his pillion rider, 17-year-old Mehfuz Afzal Hashmi, were returning from Tagore Nagar after collecting food.

As per Mehfuz, who sustained minor injuries in the crash, the water tanker suddenly rammed their Pulsar motorcycle from behind near the Vasant Rubber Factory Pvt Ltd, as reported by the Times Of India. The tanker driver did not stop and fled the scene immediately, leaving the victims stranded.

Mehfuz quickly contacted Salman’s brothers, Shahban Janmohammed Khan, Maqbul Ashmi, and Aamir, who rushed to the accident site. Both Salman and Mehfuz were taken to Mahatma Phule Hospital in Vikhroli East on a motorcycle.

Salman was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit with severe chest injuries caused by the impact. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to critical trauma a few hours later. The Kanjurmarg police have registered a case and launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the tanker driver responsible for the deadly collision, according to a report.

Tempo Slams Into Car On Eastern Express Highway Near Vikhroli

A man was injured, and significant traffic congestion followed after a tempo collided with a car and overturned on the southbound lane of Narayan Bodhe Bridge in Vikhroli, Mumbai on Tuesday morning. The incident took place around 6:40 AM, according to police officials’ reports.

Initial details indicate that a Tata Safari was hit by a tempo while both were travelling south on the bridge. The collision caused the Safari to flip over on the road. To prevent another crash, the tempo driver lost control, causing the vehicle to swerve onto the footpath and overturn.
