Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The doctoral entrance test (DET) of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya was conducted on Sunday where 82% candidates appeared for the exam. A total of 213 of the 260 candidates appeared for the paper for 143 seats in 13 subjects.

The candidates had to answer 100 questions within two hours. Fifty questions each on research methodology and research subjects were asked in the paper. The university would release the answer key within the next three days. After that objections will be invited.

According to the officials, the result will be declared by the first week of January. DET was conducted for 13 PhD subjects including Applied Maths, Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Energy, Pharmacy, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, Electronics and Instrumentation, Electronics and Telecommunication, IT.

The university had set up two centres for the examination. The paper was held from 9 am to 11 am. DET in-charge Dr Ashesh Tiwari said that there were no technical problems of any kind during the online examination. Three disabled candidates also participated in the examination.

Candidates will have to deposit the prescribed fee to raise an objection. It is also mandatory to upload documents related to the correct answer. The university will place the objections raised before the examination committee.
