Basti: Chaos erupted at the Basti Civil Court on Thursday, April 3, after a lawyer was publicly assaulted by two women at Gate No. 3. The violent altercation was captured on a video, which is now doing the rounds on social media.
According to a report by Dainik Bhasker, the confrontation stemmed from the allegations that the lawyer had verbally abused one of the women over a phone call. Enraged by this, the woman confronted the lawyer at the court entrance. The verbal argument quickly turned physical when a second woman arrived at the scene.

As per the report, eyewitness revealed that the two women were aggressively attacking the lawyer. Other lawyers present at the court also attempted to intervene and quell the violence; however, the women being highly agitated, continued their assault. During the scuffle, one of the women was seen pushing another individual standing in the crowd.
In continuation of the report, the lawyer has filed a legal complaint against the two women and has demanded immediate action from the Bar Association officials.
The Basti Police also took to X (formerly Twitter) to confirm that the case has been referred to the concerned team for further investigation and that necessary action will be taken against the assailants.

The Basti Bar Association also issued a statement condemning the violence, demanding strict action against the women. The association also emphasised the importance of maintaining the sanctity of the court premises and ensuring the safety of its members.
