2 Men Apologise For Pro-Pak Post, Chant ‘Hindustan Zindabad’ After UP Police Action In Bareilly | X

Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh), May 24: A video has surfaced on social media in which it can be seen that two men are chanting “Hindustan Zindabad” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”. The video is said to be from Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly where the two men were given treatment by the Uttar Pradesh Police for their social media posts supporting Pakistan. They can be seen in the video limping while shouting the slogans.

There are reports that the incident occurred in Bithri Police Station where the two individuals were arrested for sharing the social media post which could harm the communal harmony in the state. The accused identified as Irfan and Javed were taken into custody after which a video was released on social media in which they are seen apologising for the actions.

The police said that the two local residents identified as Javed and Irfan from Saidpur Lashkariganj had posted videos on Instagram. One video said, “There won’t be as many policemen in the police stations as there are informers in my area,” while another included a threatening message, “There’s some silence now, but noise will follow… the barking dogs, i’ll cut off their tongues.” These posts also expressed support for Pakistan.

A man named Himanshu Patel who is associated with a Hindu organisation reported the posts to police via X (formerly Twitter). The police acted quickly, registered a case and arrested the two men.

The accused were seen limping and apologising, saying they had posted the videos by mistake and would never do it again. In a video released by the police, both can be seen chanting “Hindustan Zindabad” (Long live India) and “Pakistan Murdabad” (Down with Pakistan) around 20 times in just 32 seconds. They promised that as long as they live, they will never repeat such a mistake.
