Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Gradual rise in temperature which has begun, will give relief from biting cold for the time-being across the state. Rise of temperature by 2 degrees Celsius to 3 degrees Celsius is likely for the next 3 days.

There will again be fall in temperature, according to meteorological department officials. Bhopal recorded a day temperature of 25.8 degrees Celsius after rise of one degree Celsius while it recorded a night temperature of 7 degrees Celsius after a rise of 2 degrees Celsius.

Indore recorded a day temperature of 27.2 degrees Celsius while it recorded a night temperature of 9.8 degrees Celsius. Alert has been issued for dense fog in Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena districts. Similarly, moderate fog will be there in Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Niwari districts.

Impact of cold wave prevailed in Shahdol and Mandla. The western disturbance as a cyclonic circulation lies over south-east Iran. A cyclonic circulation lies over south-west Rajasthan and its neighbourhood. Sub-tropical westerly jet stream with core winds prevails over north-west India.

Dense fog prevailed in Gwalior, Bhind, Morena Districts while shallow to moderate fog prevailed in Datia, Nivari, Chhatarpur, Panna, north Satna, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi and Singrauli districts. Minimum visibility of zero metre was recorded at Gwalior Airport.
