Thane: A 17-year-old boy was electrocuted when he came into contact with a live wire while he was urinating near the road in Ambernath on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Vignesh Kachare (17), who lived with his parents in the Bhendi Pada area of Ambernath West.
The incident took place in Ambernath West on Tuesday at 7:30 PM when Kachare, along with his two friends, was going home. Meanwhile, Kachare felt the need to relieve himself and went to urinate near a garbage disposal area behind a parked truck, where he came into contact with the live wire and was electrocuted, police said.
According to the police, Kachare came into contact with a live wire passing through a pole and was electrocuted.
Kishor Shinde, Police Inspector from the Ambernath Police Station, said, “We rushed to the spot after receiving information about the electrocution. A boy was sent to the hospital and was declared dead on arrival. During the prima facie investigation, an Accidental Death Report was filed with the Ambernath Police Station. We will file an FIR against the responsible person whose guilt is found during the investigation.”
