The scholarship exam comprised two papers — the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and the Mental Ability Test (MAT). “Based on central government quotas, merit lists are prepared district-wise and category-wise. Students who qualify receive an annual scholarship of ₹16,000 for four years — from Class 9 to Class 12,” informed Deputy Commissioner  Sanghratna Khillare.

Eligibility for the exam includes students currently studying in Class 8, having scored at least 55% marks in Class 7, with the family’s annual income not exceeding ₹3.5 lakh. Students from both government and aided schools are allowed to appear.

“NMMC schools ensured rigorous preparation by conducting additional classes, regular practice tests, and mock exams at both the school and zonal levels. This focused approach significantly boosted students’ confidence and academic performance,” said the  Education Officer Aruna Yadav.
