Ayush Shinde: Young opener Ayush Shinde played an inning of 419 runs in the Harris Shield tournament. He hit 43 fours and 24 sixes in 152 balls. Playing for General Education Academy, he played this historic innings against Paarl Tilak Vidya Mandir. Ayush also broke the centuries-old record of great cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. Ayush registered his name in the record book in the match played on cross field. He is fourth in the list of batsmen who have played the biggest innings in the Under-16 tournament. In the year 2009, Sarfaraz Khan had scored 439 runs at the age of 12. On the basis of Ayush’s marathon innings, his team managed to win by 464 runs.
Ayush Shinde defeated Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli together. Sachin played an inning of 326 runs for Sarada Vidya Mandir while Vinod Kambli scored 349 runs. Both of them made a record partnership of 664 runs and gave a big victory to the team. Ayush broke both the records in one stroke. On the basis of Ayush’s innings, his team scored 648 runs for 5 wickets.

Team India’s opener Prithvi Shaw played a brilliant innings in this tournament in 2013. Shaw remained in the headlines by scoring 546 runs. When he played this innings, he was 14 years old. Sheffield Shield is a prestigious tournament in Mumbai. Through this tournament, players like Sachin, Kambli, Sarfaraz and Prithvi Shaw have been successful in reaching Team India. Ayush’s father Sunil used to play cricket with tennis ball in Satara. Sunil works in a shop in Kamothe in Mumbai where gold chains and jewelery are made.

Father shifted to Mumbai to fulfill son’s dream

Sunil came to Mumbai to fulfill his son’s dream. Ayush, who has been learning cricket closely since the age of six, has a big dream. This young cricketer has so far broken 3 TVs in his house during practice. He was the leading run-scorer in the Under 16 tournament last season. Father Sunil says, ‘My son is very stubborn and whatever he decides to do, he completes it.’
