Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Training, then sweating over the nervousness of exams, this wasn’t the scene of a college, but of the DCP (zone-4) office where 15 police officials from Pandharinath police station including SHO (TI) were attached as a form of punishment over negligence of their duties. Failure of performance in the micro-beat system cost them a thorough 3-day training and if they fail to pass the test they’ll no longer be eligible for posting in any police station under the jurisdiction of police commissionerate.
On the instruction of Commissioner of Police Santosh Kumar Singh, DCP (zone-4) RishikeshMeena released an order for Pandharinath police station in charge Kapil Sharma, two sub inspectors, five ASIs and 7 head constables for negligence towards their duties. DCP Meena informed Free Press that the Pandharinath police station is one of the sensitive areas and the police officers posted in the police station should be alert towards their duties to handle law and order situations.
Micro-beat system was started by the CP in the city for the convenience of the people and for their security but better results of the system were not seen in the Pandharinath police station jurisdiction. Some complaints were also received against the staff for their behaviour so TI Sharma and other policemen (all of them are the investigating officers in the different cases) were attached to the DCP officer for their training for three days from Tuesday.
Their reporting time at the DCP Meena’s office is 11 am to 5 pm for three days. They would be taught how to behave with the complainants and how to register FIRs to provide justice for the complainants. Some paras from police regulations were also taught them for three days. DCP is giving training to the police officials for their better performance in micro-beat systems. After their training, a test will be taken by DCP and the policemen have to pass the test to get posting in the police station in the city. If they fail to pass the test, they will not be able to get posting in any police station in the city.
