Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the opening of 11 new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) in Madhya Pradesh under the Civil/Defence sector.
This decision is part of a nationwide initiative to open 85 new KVs and expansion of one existing KV across India. Currently, Madhya Pradesh is home to 112 KVs.

The new KVs will be established in the following locations: Ashok Nagar, Nagda (Ujjain), Maihar (Satna), Tirodi (Balaghat), Barghat (Seoni), Niwari, Khajuraho (Chhatarpur), Jhinjhari (Katni), Sabalgarh (Morena), Narsinghgarh (Rajgarh), and CAPT (Central Academy Police Training) in Bhopal, Kanhasaiya. Each new KV will have a capacity of approximately 960 students, benefiting a total of 82,560 students across the 86 new KVs.
85 KV Across The Country
Union cabinet on economic affairs has decided to open 85 new Kendriya vidyalaya under Civil Defence sector across the country. Out of them, eleven will be opened in Madhya Pradesh.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and BJP State President VD Sharma have expressed their gratitude towards PM Narendra Modi in this regard.
The eleven new Kendriya vidyalaya will be opened at Central Academy Police Training ,( Bhopal,) Kanaiyasaiya, Ashok Nagar, Nagda of Ujjain, Maihar, Tirodi of Balaghat, Barghat of Seoni, Niwari, Khajuraho, Jhinjhari of Katni, Sabalgarh of Morena, Narsinghgarh of Rajgarh district.
VD Sharma said Modi government,s decision will help in providing better education to students of rural areas and will prove a mile stone for their bright future.
