Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Jitu Patwari made serious allegations against the state’s Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, stating, “He takes loans to travel abroad!”
Just two days after CM Yadav returned to the state from a business trip to the United Kingdom and Germany, the MP Congress shared a video on its official X handle, in which PCC Chief Jitu Patwari can be seen presenting data on the loans allegedly taken by CM Mohan Yadav, during a press conference.
The video shared on Monday (Dec 2) was captioned as, “The Chief Minister takes loans and goes abroad with his family, enjoying tourism. However, they fail to fulfill the promise of giving ₹3,100 to Ladli Bahna (women’s welfare scheme). They stop scholarships for SC and ST students and do not provide incentive funds for meritorious students. Despite taking loans, this government is unable to fulfill its electoral promises.”

Jitu Patwari presents entire data of 30 loans
Condemning CM Yadav, PCC chief Patwari said, “Now, even CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General of India)’s report has stated that you are not in the position to take any more loans. Now, what’s Mohan Yadav’s story? Within 11 months, he took out a loan 30 times! Try jotting down the data if you can…”
He went on saying, “He took out 2.5k crores on January 23, 3k crore on January 6, 5k crore on January 20, another 5k crore on January 27. Then in the month of March, he took 5k crore on March 26, then another 5k crore on August 6….” and so on. The data presented by the Congress leader included the loans taken by the CM from January to November.
“He takes loans and organizes events, goes to England, and goes sightseeing with family and officials. He sits in a car at the speed of a plane—250 km/h,” he concluded.
‘White paper must be released’
The Congress has demanded that a ‘white paper’ be issued on the financial status of Madhya Pradesh. They insist that the state government must document how much of the borrowed capital is being used for public welfare.
