SCHMTT has entered into MoUs with renowned global organizations to help students understand the nature of work at a global level. Affiliated with Savitrabai Phule Pune University, NAAC accredited, and recognized by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, SCHMTT was established in 2005 and is now entering its 21st year. The college is ISO 9001:2015 certified and offers a B.Sc in Hospitality Studies. Emphasis is placed on developing professionals and entrepreneurs in the hospitality sector. In addition to the curriculum, SCHMTT students visit established hotels, restaurants, and industrial companies, attend seminars by industry experts, and prepare delicious food from various states like Rajasthan, Goa, Karnataka, etc. The college organizes food festivals based on various concepts, and students actively participate in many activities to gain direct and extensive knowledge in the field.

Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya, Founder President and Chairman of Suryadatta Education Foundation, said, “SCHMTT has expert and experienced faculty, and excellent infrastructure. Students of SCHMTT are successfully building their careers both in India and abroad, with record placements to date. Our students are excelling in many countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Mauritius, America, and New Zealand. Many have secured senior positions in prestigious five-star hotels such as Shangri-La in Mauritius, Rittelburg Hotel in Germany, Hilton in Malaysia, Indian Kitchen Spices in China, The Regent in Singapore, Holiday Inn in America, Renaissance in Florida, Sun City in Pattaya, and Marriott in Singapore. Many have also started their own businesses.”

SCHMTT set a unique world record in 2021 by preparing 7,000 kilos of misal in 7 hours with the help of 30 people and distributing it to 30,000 people through 300 social organizations. Additionally, the college made Chikki in record time, prepared Shabu Khichdi for fasting devotees, and distributed it to people through volunteers. The students of Suryadatta have been actively engaged in activities like writing, reading, thinking, learning, keeping silence, inventing new ideas, researching, and innovating for 24 hours consecutively for enlightenment, which was recorded in the Limca Book of Records, according to Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya.

Dr. Chordiya further shared, “Industry visits provide students with hands-on knowledge. Every year, approximately 10 to 15 percent of students become entrepreneurs, 20 to 25 percent secure placements in international companies, and 65 to 70 percent are placed in Indian companies. This year, students have secured internships in renowned hotels such as Sea Point Boutique, Double Tree Hilton, Radisson Blu, Taj Vivanta, Marriott, Oberoi, Hyatt, Novotel, Le Meridien, and others, including international internships in Mauritius and New Zealand. We have found that internships often lead to placements.”

“In our 21-year journey, Suryadatta has trained thousands of students. To enhance job opportunities for students, we regularly organize job fairs in coordination with other colleges. During the Corona period, students participated in cooking and food distribution activities under CSR. Entrepreneurial skills are taught, and students have done internships in over 50 countries. We also offer various short courses in fields like fitness, beauty wellness, gym training, and air hostess training, which provide students with multitasking skills and boost their confidence. Suryadatta’s students are excelling in the Hospitality and Travel Tourism sector thanks to a strong combination of skills,” he added.

“It is the professional and ethical responsibility of Hospitality Management Institutes to develop up-to-date and entrepreneurial skills while instilling a social spirit in students. Suryadatta is working in this direction. Students aspiring to pursue a career in Hospitality Management and Travel Tourism are encouraged to visit Suryadatta Institute and experience the quality education here,” Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya concluded.
