Madhya Pradesh: ₹1.26 Cr Compensation Awarded In Road Accident Death | Representational Image
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): District and Sessions Court, Bhopal has awarded a compensation of Rs 1.26 crore with 6% interest to kin of a private finance company area manager who died in a road accident in 2023.
The court of Judge Prahlad Singh Kamethia in the order stated that the truck driver had hit the Vitesh Rathore following which he died and so the owner and Insurance Company is liable to pay a compensation amount of Rs 1.26 crore along with 6% annual interest to the family of the deceased.
Sharing the details of the case, advocate LB Yadav who had filed the petition said that Rathore, who was posted as area manager in a private finance company, was riding his bike around 3:00 pm on September 6, 2023 when a truck (MP-09 HH 6722 ) hit his bike.
Rathore sustained critical head injury and died on the spot. The accident took place at Bichhadhta turn under Shahpura police station area.
I-T Raid Continues For Second Day In Sagar
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Income Tax (I-T) department’s raid against ex-BJP MLA Harvansh Singh and others continued even for the second day on Monday.
During the raid, investigating officers came through lockers, bank accounts, property related documents etc. Tax evasion is being assessed by I-T officers. Piles of incriminating documents have been seized during the raid.
